| Kansas Women
for Accountable and Responsible Government (KWARG)
have released their choices for the 2004 August primary.
A political action committee, KWARG is comprised of
professional women, wives, stay-at-home mothers, and
single women from across the state. These women are
committed to holding elected officials accountable.
We have studied the voting records of the incumbents
on issues involving taxes, the business climate,
the school finance formula, and personal safety.
We have listened to the plans and ideology of their
opponents. The candidates we are endorsing cross
party lines and gender lines, but they have one
thing in common: they are forward thinking, fiscally
responsible, and place a priority on personal safety.
We have not made endorsements in all races. We
have made endorsements in primary races, only where
we felt we had sufficient information to do so.
