(Olathe) -- The Kansas Women for Accountable
and
Responsible Government (KWARG) today announced their creation,
platform and plans at a news conference in front of the
Johnson County Courthouse. KWARG is a statewide group
of philosophically diverse ladies who are focusing on
fiscal responsibility, educational funding, and personal
safety issues.
When it was mentioned that these aren’t
issues that women traditionally address, Treasurer Linda
Freeman just smiles. “I’m tired of the government raising
my taxes to compensate for their frivolous spending.”
She says.
The group has mailed out surveys to all
the candidates in the general election. The completed
surveys must be returned by October 15.
